New Moon on August 30th
Sun/Moon Conjunct Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Sidereal Leo 🔥
Trine Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Sidereal Aries 🔥
Astrologically, the Personal planets include The SUN, The MOON, MERCURY, VENUS, and MARS.
These are the bodies whose orbits are closest to that of the Earth, and therefore closest to our physical being.
Symbolically, the personal planets refer to energies that we relate to on a personal, subjective level: knowing who you are, how you feel, what you think about your need for love and affection, and how you handle anger and aggression.
The current placements of these planets have a direct effect on your mood, your level of confidence, and your sense of self-esteem.
A New Moon will be a part of a Stellium in the sign of Leo. The New Moon takes place in the social 2nd Decan of Leo, indicating themes of companionship and working together as an intention leads to dynamic partnership and growth. It is time to bring your intuition into everyday matters without isolating yourself. It is important that passion leads to suffering, which leads to awakening, now it is time to get back to passion. Understand that resolving all suffering is the goal of passion.
What all these people have in common is that through undergoing intense suffering, they “woke up.” They stopped taking life, the world, and other people for granted. They gained a massive sense of appreciation for everything — a sense of the preciousness of life, their own bodies, the other people in their lives, and the beauty and wonder of nature. They felt a new sense of connection to other people, to the human race, to the natural world, and even to the universe as a whole. They became less materialistic and more altruistic. Trivial things (like material possessions and career advancement) became more trivial, while important things (like love, creativity, altruism) became much more important. They felt intensely alive, and also that the world itself had become intensely alive.
Once you heal there comes a point of sharing and coming together in gratitude. The hopes for these altruistic connections are synonymous with the New Moon intention in Leo. Victory is one of the themes of this Decan based on an individual’s confidence and self-esteem. Another part of victory is realizing true victory is a shared victory with others. A healthy ego is an Ego not centered on battling but focused on building for the future.
“Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.”
― Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov
The New Moon comes with assistance from Mercury, Mars, and Venus all presently in Leo during this occasion. Mercury assists you in confidence if you are taking accountability and not pointing fingers. Being able to take responsibility for your mistakes, correcting them, and allowing your true self to surface is aligned with the New Moon intention. Mars assists you in self-esteem by being able to be retrospective in the sense of having unlimited resources to assist you presently. The times you fell and bounced back serve as reminders that things can and will change for you. Venus assists during this transit based on if we are able to think of others and fully embrace the concept of companionship. Negative Ego expression seems wholesome but deep down it is just the desire to be popular. Positive Ego expression is when we are able to be on the same accord with those around us. As opposed to isolating ourselves based on everybody else being the issue but never us.
The New Moon will be fueled by Uranus and Saturn in the fire signs Aries and Sagittarius. The ability to channel our higher selves and live according to universal law will allow us to know we are always making the right choices. It removes doubt when we are consciously in tune with ourselves and as a result being in tune with others. The admission of obstacles allows us to overcome them. It is when we deny the existence of obstacles that they grow to be unbearable. Passion leads back to Saturn in Sagittarius. The constellation that rules the second Decan of Leo is Sagittarius. The need for this energy is found in suffering and overcoming that suffering. Only when you overcome your hardships, it becomes difficult to see others suffer those same hardships. Understanding that this New Moon is centered in fire and passion, this is found outside of yourself, not in isolating yourself while continuing to cope. If you are prepared to put forth effort into life itself, you will be greatly rewarded following this New Moon Transit.
